Reblaus Express and cycling

A particularly pleasurable experience is combining cycling with an excursion aboard the Reblaus Express. Before or after your tour you can sit back and relax in your seat.

Retz:

There is an e-bike and cycle hire facility on Retz’s main square. Here you can hire e-bikes, touring cycles or mountain bikes every day.

E-bikes are available for hire from the Neue Mittelschule in Drosendorf.

“Reblausexpress Cycle Trail”

This 51-kilometre cycle trail links the towns of Drosendorf im Waldviertel and Retz im Weinviertel. Drosendorf is surrounded by town walls which, along with old town houses and viaducts, creates a medieval ambience. The starting point for this tour is the nostalgia-inducing railway building at Drosendorf station. Some sections of the trail run alongside the route of the Reblaus Express. Cosy wine taverns are dotted along the entire route. From Hofern the trail runs mainly downhill to Retz. In the wine town of Retz the tour can be rounded off with a well-earned glass of wine or grape juice. The trail is well sign-posted in both directions and can therefore also be cycled from Retz to Drosendorf.
